From the beginning of this issue, the thrust of our community has been focused on educating webmasters about the traffic theft occurring, and to mount a technical defense against this assult on honest web sites.
The goal of spreading the word has gone beautifully as is evidenced by the length of the list of participating discussion sites. Public opinion has forced most of the TopText advertisers to re-think their decision to steal traffic at any moral cost. Truste, the seal of e-approval, has been stripped from the company who developed TopText.
Now the goal of fighting back on the technical side has shown results. Two members of the Get High Forums community have made sophisticated solutions available to rid your sites of the Yellow Plague.
These are effective, but not ideal solutions to the problem. Several other possible solutions are in the works, but these two are real and available today.

The clever folks at SearchKing looked at the problem and noticed a design weakness in TopText. When you refresh or reload a page that shows the Yellow Plague, the yellow goes away.
After a couple of days work, they came up with a one line Javascript you can add to your pages that cause them to refresh - once - to wipe out the yellow.
The script calls a program on the SearchKing servers which keeps the page from continuing to refresh time after time. It works, so go get it.

From another ScumWare Forum member comes a similar, but equally effective Javascript to refresh the pages.
You place the external Javascript file on your own server and insert one line of code into each page of your site that needs to disable TopText.
